Here She sailed in 1996, Carrying Three to Five Thousand Young men, seventeen to nineteen years old to engage in a war in The Republic of Vietnam. Today, this historical ship is docked in her Final resting place on the James River in Virginia. Of the thousands aboard that ship in 1966, only one young man had a direct connection to MOTOWN. His name was Melvin P. Moy. So, join me in an imaginary time capsule. Let us journey through various periods of time, to Motown, the Moy Family and how they relate to the Vietnam War.
